Leadership — Rushden Mission Church

Leadership Team

Our leadership team are elected by members of the church. With the exception of the paid Minister, all leaders must have been members of the church for 3 years before taking on a leadership role.

We currently have a team of 6 leaders in the church who you can read a little about below.

Rev. David Bracken

David has been minister of our church since September 2023 when he and his family made the short move from Coventry. You might say God sent him away from Coventry. It won’t take you long to notice though that David is not from these parts having been born and raised in the Republic of Ireland.

David studied at Cliff College and has been in the ministry full time since 2017. We’ll let him tell you a bit more about what gets him up in the morning (even before his kids do):

I love to inspire people about the word of God and to encourage them to discover its power and to enter into the fullness God has for them.

I love to encourage people to not only discover their worth and purpose in Christ but also to discover their gifting and place within the church in order to grow maturely and serve God effectively as His witnesses.

I am also passionate about reaching out with the gospel to those who do not know Christ in order that they may know Him as their Lord and Saviour.

Linda Crawley

Linda has been part of the Mission church her whole life. She is a retired primary school teacher but has recently been putting her old skills to use in providing guitar lessons and organising band practice for our budding musicians.

Linda is one of the leaders in the Worship group and is also the co-ordinator for our prayer group.

David Rooksby

David is another long-standing member of the church and leadership team. He wears many hats with a wealth of knowledge and wisdom gained from his time in church administration and leadership.

David is also a Trustee of the Wesleyan Reform Union of Churches, of which our church is a part.

David McGrath

David (yes another one) has been part of the Mission church family for well over a decade. He is always ready to help and demonstrates this on the back desk and getting his hands dirty carrying out and overseeing church maintenance.

David has been on the church leadership team since March 2020. He leads the Father2Father Men’s group and volunteers as a Street Pastor in neighbouring Wellingborough.

Tom Poulton

Tom moved to Rushden from Watford with his family in 2015 and soon settled into the Mission church.

Tom is one of the quieter member of the church but makes sure his voice is heard when preaching and in leading the Youth team. He has also kept himself busy with this website project.

Tom has been on the church leadership team since March 2021.

Bill Franklin

The local boy made good. “Bouncing Bill” has been part of the church family for many decades and loves nothing more than talking about Jesus and praying with people. If this can be done with food then so much the better.

Bill has been on the church leadership team since March 2023. Bill is also one of the leaders in the Worship group and takes his role as Curry Club Chairman very seriously.
